The Mission of The Church of the Epiphany

The Episcopal Cathedral of the Epiphany (Anglican Communion) / Union Church of Santo Domingo is composed of three congregations that form one body of Christians, working together to spread the Good News brought to the world by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Built after the San Zenon hurricane in 1930, the building first housed only the Episcopal Cathedral of the Epiphany, a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic, joined later by the Union Church of Santo Domingo, an interdenominational congregation which, for more than 25 years has been alternating with Epiphany for Sunday Services in English.  Episcopal services and a wide variety of other church and community activities are held also in Spanish.

Although most services and activities are held in separate languages and often at separate times and places, the member of the combined church to be one Christian body, united for one purpose -- to do God's will and spread Christ's word while being a living example of ecumenical unity and Christian love.
